Date Completed: March 2024
For this project, I created a "behind the scenes" style video with a Barbie rock band that is brainstorming ideas for new songs. I used actual Barbie dolls to film a combination of stop motion and puppetry (moving the dolls off camera while filming). This was my first time trying out stop motion. I also wrote the script and recorded all the voices. I was really excited about this idea because I was inspired by the recent Barbie movie, and I wanted to depict Barbie as a multi dimensional character with my own twist on it.
Date Completed: February 2024
For this project, I wanted to create a kind of "motivational tutorial" so to speak about making abstract art. I wanted to share my method of making something when I'm feeling creative but maybe don't necessarily have a specific idea in mind. My hope is that viewers can use this video as inspiration for their own works and to let go of any fears when it comes to making something new.
Date Completed: October 2021
The concept for this project was to animate a logo for a fictitious company. I decided to create something that could be used for a wellness spa, so I incorporated meditation chimes and chanting, and kept the animation slow with reminders to “breathe” and “relax” to create a calming effect.
Date Completed: October 2021
The concept for this project was to create a public service announcement (PSA) about “Movember” which is a men’s health movement that happens in November. I also chose this topic because many of my friends participated in Movember while I was in the Navy, so it brings back good memories of that, as well as further spreading awareness. The target audience is specifically men and boys, although this knowledge is also useful to the general audience. The message to be conveyed is to join a great movement supporting men’s health, including topics such as suicide prevention and cancer treatment.

Book Cover (Photoshop)

The concept for this project was to design the front cover, back cover, and spine of a ficticious book. I based the design on book covers I have seen that were about similar or related topics to what I imagine this book to be about. The target audience are readers interested in the self-help, and psychology genres.

Name Project (Illustrator)
Date Completed: July 2021
This is part of a longer project in which we were tasked with designing our name first by hand, then take that artwork and recreate it in both Photoshop and Illustrator. This is the portion of the project created in Illustrator.

Newsletter (InDesign)
Date Completed: August 2021
The concept for this project was to make a 4-page newsletter about miniatures, with the topic for this issue focusing specifically on miniature food. I wanted the design to be a bit more modern looking, as articles about miniatures tend to look a little more old fashioned. I have included the inside facing pages of the project as an example.
